Welcome

The Peninsula Silent Flyers (PSF) is an Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) sanctioned club dedicated to the enjoyment of building and flying radio control sailplanes and electric-powered aircraft. The club was established in 1985 and continues to maintain a robust membership. New members are always welcome.

PSF members have access to club flying sites located in the cities of Rancho Palos Verdes (RPV) and Torrance for flying electric airplanes, helicopters and gliders. The flying of radio-controlled models at our sites is allowed only by club members with a current full AMA membership and a site permit (obtained through the club). Training aircraft and transmitters are available to teach novice flyers.

We conduct general meetings at 7:30pm, the first Wednesday of each month at La Romeria Park in Torrance. Discussion topics usually include club business, news from the officers, show-and-tell from the membership, technical or "how to" information and - best of all - a raffle for cool prizes!
